Warranty Terms

Y&D Trading House is only responsible for 'Manufacturer Warranty' claims for up to 3 – 12 months (warranty period) for our products from the date of purchase under the following terms and conditions:

 

  • The warranty is only processed with the original proof of purchase and receipt; and

  • The warranty only covers reasonable domestic use only; it does not cover the use of the product in a commercial vehicle; and

  • The warranty is only applicable to manufacturing defects under normal usage during the warranty period.

 

By meeting the terms and conditions during the warranty period, you will have the right to get a replacement or if the product is no longer available, we guarantee to replace it with a product of the same or similar model/colour. Our company has sole discretion to determine the manufacturer’s defects.

 

Our Warranty Does Not Apply to:

 

Except as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), this warranty shall not apply to:

 

  • Normal wear and tear or deterioration as well as water or fire damage, the life of the products, trims, face material, scratches, fittings, loss or theft.

  • Damages occurred from exposure to water or fire.

  • Any damage of any part of the products resulting from abnormal/abusive use, lack of care, user negligence, malicious or accidental damage (knocks, drops, dents, cracks, wacks, tears, etc.) incorrect use of the products.

  • Damages caused by non-authorized persons (e.g. for re-surfacing, services, repairs or alterations, or modifications made beyond our control).

  • Use for purposes other than intended and failure to follow care instructions.

  • Products that have not been installed, maintained, operated, or used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions or any other specifications provided with the goods.

  • Damage or defects caused by deliberate or negligent misuse or abuse, physical alteration, fire, liquid spillage, use of incorrect voltage, power surges or dips, thunderstorm activity, force majeure, voltage supply problems, tampering or unauthorized repairs by any persons, use of defective or incompatible accessories, corrosive conditions or instruction by an insect, pest or other foreign body.

  • Damage results from any third-party software or hardware not provided by us.

  • Products that are lost or stolen.

  • Claims without proof of purchase.

 

Requirements for Warranty Claims

All warranty claims must first be lodged through email at info@ydtradinghouse.com. In order to make a claim, you must provide us with:

 

  1. Details of the defect or damage in relation to which you are making a claim under the warranty; and

  2. Photographic evidence of the defect or damage, where applicable, and/ or

  3. Your invoice (including order number) and any other proof of purchase, and

  4. Any other details we may need to process your claim

 

Warranty Conditions

  1. You must comply with all return instructions provided to you via your registered email address when making a claim under this warranty.

  2. We cannot accept returns that have not been authorized through the process outlined in these terms and conditions.

  3. If any returned goods are found to be in good working order, we may seek reimbursement, at our discretion, for any costs incurred by us in relation to such goods. In such cases, you agree that we may hold your goods until such payment is received.

  4. Except as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), our liability under this warranty shall not exceed the amount of the purchase price of the goods or the replacement of the goods with the same or a similar product

  5. If you are entitled to make a claim under this warranty, our staff will provide you with instructions as to how the goods may be returned to us. Unless otherwise provided by law, you will bear any other costs incurred in making a claim under this warranty.
