CUSTOM-MADE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • A 50% deposit is required on custom-made

  • Balance is due once the invoice is issued

  • Shipping of custom-made is commonly between 25-65 working days

  • Delays can occur resulting from circumstances beyond our control

  • Orders are considered final once the deposit is received

  • Custom-made cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded except for major faults – repair and adjustment will apply.

  • Please allow 0.5-1.5-inch difference due to manual measurement. (1inch=2.54cm)

  • Paying the 50% deposit makes you bound by the terms and conditions of this sale.

 

CUSTOM-MADE PROCESS

 

•          At the time of purchase, you were aware the product was custom-made, there was a wait on the product, and you agreed to the terms set out on these T&Cs.

•          You have viewed the product material in person or online and accept the sizing, colour.

•          You are aware of the total costs.

•          The approximate lead times are between 25-65 working days*

 

Custom-made Car Seat Cover usually takes 1-2 weeks to manufacture and then ship. Shipping usually takes between 3-7 weeks.

 

Once in Australia Port other factors such as customs etc can affect or delay our parcels reaching us.

 

Once delivered we usually take 2-4 days to unload, check etc.

 

Once custom-made order has been placed you will receive an email with your order details. We will contact you once the order is ready to be shipped. If during that time you are unsure of dates, times or require further information you can always call or email us the details below.

 

*PLEASE NOTE: COVID-19 UPDATE – Custom-made shipments have been delayed please contact us for an ETA on your custom-made items.

DEPOSITS

 

  • Custom-made items generally have to pay a flat rate deposit to secure the item and then pay the remaining balance upon arrival of the item into our warehouse.

  • The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Refunds will not be given in all cases for custom-made items.

 

DELAYS & DELIVERY TIMES

 

Y&D Trading House will not be liable for any delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control or for any losses that are incurred as of any delays or force majeure of the purchaser. As with all our products we endeavour to dispatch all deliveries as fast as possible to our customers, with many of our products being sourced internationally we may be affected by public holidays, inclement weather, port or custom delays all of which are beyond our control.

 

In the circumstance that the express shipment gets extended to more than 45 business days (or the standard shipment gets extended to more than 85 business days), customers are eligible to request a deposit refund.

 

RETURNS

 

All custom-made goods, we would not have ordered them if you had not purchased them, as such some items are non-returnable. This does not exclude your rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as you may still have warranties or guarantees on the products description, fit for purpose and quality. For more information on this please refer to the Australian Consumer Law rights of a consumer.

 

CANCELLATION

 

All custom-made goods are classified as custom orders and as such you will forfeit all or part of your money if you choose to cancel your order.

 

Custom-made can take between 25-65 working days to arrive in our ports and could be held for longer periods for Australian custom clearances, inclement weather, strikes and other issues that may arise which are out of our control.

 

Custom-made orders can be carried out in-store or over the phone.

 

By paying part or all of the order, the customer agrees to accept the Terms and Conditions set out on this page and other relevant T&Cs.

 

Custom-made orders cannot be cancelled without forfeiting their payment.

 

When the Custom-made order is accepted and ordered, the customer is liable to lose any monies paid.

 

CHANGE OF MIND/CUSTOMER ORDER ERROR

 

Custom Made, Made to Order items are not returnable nor refundable for change of mind/customer order error.

 

  • If you change your mind about a custom-made/made-to-order product/cover, in most cases they cannot be returned. If you are not sure about the custom-made or made-to-order item that you are purchasing is the correct product/cover for your needs, you should contact us prior to ordering.

 

  • If you have ordered a custom made-to-order item and it has a manufacturing defect (eg. stitching has come loose), then this will be repaired (not replaced) for you.

 

  • If you have ordered a custom made-to-order item where we have requested some specific information before manufacturing commences (such as you completing a specific measurement form) then it is usually possible for the items to be repaired/altered if you have made an order error. (For example, an order for custom made-to-order seat covers is placed and on your original information form you have stated 2 rear headrests when in fact you need 3 rear headrests. In this cause because of the manufacturing error being caused due to an ordering error, there will be additional charges for alterations or repairs. Most manufacturers will make alterations or corrections on a materials time and cost basis and can vary between each manufacturer. We will confirm this amount before goods are taken back).
